Our contractor hired WL Pro Builders to build a deck in the backyard. Our first interaction with them was to confirm the specs, which we did after they provided a detailed design plan indicating foundations, structure and finishing. That was a very helpful step since we had discussed the footprint of the deck and generalities with our contractor, but we couldn’t visualize details until we saw them in that plan. We then discussed the next steps and details with Leandro and Leo who were managing our project. When they started building it, things went fast. They built the foundations and the structure, and checked with us that everything was ok along the way. The few times we wanted something slightly different, they were very forthcoming in discussing options and tradeoffs. After a choice was made, they took the time to make things as requested. At the end, we were extremely happy with the result and now have a deck we really love.

We used WL Pro Builders for both the design and the construction, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Initially, we considered Yardzen for the design, but we were concerned about the feasibility of a remote design given our backyard's slopes. Fortunately, we found WL Pro Builders, and their services were not only reasonably priced but also competitive with Yardzen. The best part was that they came onsite to take measurements and provide feedback on what was possible given our layout. They provided 3D renderings and construction drawings.
After receiving the design, they provided us with a detailed quote for the entire project. We were initially hesitant to proceed with such a large undertaking and delayed our decision for several months. When we were ready to move forward, I had several questions about the materials. Andre allowed me to visit a prior project to see their craftsmanship and the materials firsthand, which really helped motivate us to proceed with the project.
From day one, the crew was professional, efficient, and hardworking, showing up every day and staying all day. They completed the project on time, and the end result was just as stunning as the 3D rendered designs. Throughout the process, they were very responsive to our questions.

We did a complete deck/backyard remodel and renovation with WL Pro Builders, which included design and construction. We put in a beautiful Timber Tech deck, outdoor kitchen and fire pit that WL helped to design. They did a fantastic job from the beginning, through the teardown and construction, along with all the installation if the appliances and the pergola. We were very pleased with the quality of the work and the ease of project management. The 3D design phase made it very easy to imagine what the final output would look like. We recently worked with Techwood Decks for an extensive backyard rework at our home in Potrero Hill, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Our downsloping lot (15-degree slope) required all materials to be transported through our garage, down a set of stairs, and into the backyard, adding complexity to the job. The WL team are such an amazing crew to work with and their work is top notch. My project was an elevated 14’X16’ Deck on a steep slope in the San Mateo hills. The deck supports were destroyed by weather and insects. I interviewed several contractors but settled on WL Pro Builders. WL Pro Builders helped in securing an Engineer, assisted with the permit (a very difficult process), and finished the project on time and in budget.
I am extremely happy with the way the project turned-out even though there were several issues uncovered during the project, WL Pro Builders were very easy to deal with and helpful in resolving all the issues. A very important service WL Pro Builders provided was a message link between myself, management, onsite foreman, and the crew, keeping all of us with the same expectations. I highly recommend WL Pro Builders.
I loved working with this company! They built a Dasso deck and staircase and ceramic tile patio for us. They did really quality work, and our deck and patio look beautiful! We really benefited from their advice on the design and materials. They made a real effort to help us stay within our budget. All the staff were professional and friendly. They were very responsive, arrived on time, cleaned up, and were willing to accommodate all of our requests. I plan to work with them again on an additional project.
