Setbacks and zoning

  • Typical R1-6L setbacks: front 20 ft, interior side 5 ft, corner side 10 ft, rear 20 ft. R1-8L has side setbacks of 6 ft and 9 ft (Sec. 18.10.030).
  • Decks, stairs and landings may project up to 6 ft into a required front or corner side yard setback (Sec. 18.30.020). The code does not give the same allowance for the interior side yard.
  • We confirm your zoning district and setbacks before design.
